Baby Rock & Sign (5 – 13 months)





MoonSoup’s popular, Rockin’ Baby Music & Play class – full of interactive music, sensory play and props –  plus Sign Language  taught in fun songs that babies love. 

Sign Language (ASL) is a great way to communicate with your baby – it can help reduce frustration and enhance bonding – and it’s very easy to learn. Plus lots of play and props keep this an active, fun class for babies.

Little Maestros, named NYC’s premiere infant and toddler music program by the New York Times and NBC’s Today Show, is a music performance class where music and friends are made. Each class features 4 live musicians who sing and play guitar, piano and drums.

Little Maestros takes children on a fantastic musical journey each week. You and your child will love our musical story times, songs of all kinds, imaginative play, language development activities, puppet shows and “bubble music”.

Rock, Smocks, & Animals:

Join our animal adventure as we jump with the frogs and hop with the bunnies and learn about a new animal everyweek. We  start out grovin’ to the guitar, bouncing with the balls and dancing with our friends as we sing along with all sort of instruments. As we wait with anticipation to meet the star of the show “The Animal of The Week” we play and learn with toys that are like our four footed visitor and just before he comes we settle down for a story. Next thing you know our special animal apears and we get to touch, enjoy, and hear all about him.  Every other week we pull out the  paint, glue, feathers, sand and more as we and create an animal masterpiece of our own. This one of a kind class isn’t over yet until you meet all our friends in our indoor petting zoo.

Broadway Babies Sample Class (for babies 4 – 18 months)

Broadway sets the stage for this energetic, educational, and unique Mommy & Me class.  In this interactive experience, children are introduced to a different Broadway show every week.  As the four teachers begin to share what the show is about, children and moms are invited to participate.  Lyrics are posted so that everyone can join in singing out show tunes. Props, costumes, and a multitude of musical instruments help develop the children’s imagination, as well as musical and rhythmic skills.

Guided by highly accredited teachers and pediatricians, our curriculum weaves educational activities such as pre-K development of motor skills, color and letter recognition, counting numbers and socialization, through the stories and songs of each musical. This class provides a venue where an adult can bond with their child while also meeting other adults who have young children. Come share the magic of Broadway with us!

Adults lead their bouncing, curious tykes in movements that prepare babies for creeping, crawling and, later on, their very first steps. Bubbles and a parachute tickle their senses as they delight in the wonders of color and music.  Through a red tunnel, down a pink slide, or up a soft ramp, children discover a new world of balance and locomotion with activities and play equipment for this energetic stage.

In 1986, Poppyseed Pre-Nursery was established to meet the demands of parents yearning for more consistent social contact for themselves and their child. Live guitar in Baby Class adds a fun twist with Motown, Rock and Reggae in this lively, up-tempo class; Babies love the baby Drumming circles,  Music, Play and Sensory Stimulation games. Disco bubbles round out this super fun music and play class.

Plus ASL for Babies: Taught through simple songs & play, sign language supports overall language development and can reduce frustration as your baby is able to communicate needs. Standard ASL used.
