8/3 – Infant Classes Around Town







 



GET READY FOR FALL!!  New semesters, new possibilities, new options!


So many classes out there, hard to choose which one to sign up for!  There are SO MANY different classes available for infants and toddlers today – different locations, policies, prices. How do you choose??

Come to this week’s luncheon and hear all about the gym classes, swim classes, music classes, yoga classes, etc. You will also get advice on when to start each type of class, how to handle make ups, trial classes, etc.

All moms who attend will go home with an amazing 3 page handout with the contact information on all Manhattan classes.

8/10 – Starting Solids (and other Nutritional Tips)

 

 

 

 

At this week’s  luncheon you will learn everything you need to know about starting solids with your baby.  Dana Pitman, R.D. and Jolene Harrison MS R.D. will teach you the following:

  • When should you start?
  • Which foods should you give first?
  • How many times a day should you feed solids?
  • Which foods should be avoided?
  • Do I still breastfeed/give my baby formula?
  • What if my baby refuses?
 Dana Pitman, R.D., recently joined the Keri Glassman, Nutritious Life team, and is a Nutritious Life Certified Registered Dietitian. Dana received her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and entered the corporate world in the field of human resources and recruiting after college. Always striving to lead a healthy, balanced life, Dana’s interest in nutrition and wellness soon became a passion, which led her to a career change that would allow her to educate and motivate others to achieve their health and wellness goals.

Dana is currently working towards her Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition at New York University and has completed her dietetic internship at NYU Langone Medical Center in affiliation with New York University. Dana recognizes that maintaining a healthy life, means achieving a healthy balance. When counseling her clients Dana addresses the many factors involved in how our lives and our choices can directly.


Jolene Harrison MS R.D. joined the Keri Glassman, Nutritious Life team in 2009. Her passion is to help busy New Yorkers reclaim their bodies through nutritious whole foods and she is a great complement to Keri’s New York practice.

Jolene’s earliest memory of cooking was making her own school lunches with baked chicken nuggets and cashew nut butter sandwiches. Her love for homemade whole foods led her to study the science of nutrition at New York University. After completing a Master’s in Clinical Nutrition, Jolene worked in New York City’s leading medical center NY Presbyterian Hospital. Jolene brings to Nutritious Life great qualifications and diverse experience and is s strong advocate of sustainability in the production of whole foods. She pursued an advanced certification at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and is also a Certified Yoga Instructor. She now specializes in the food-mood connection, emotional eating, anxiety disorders, and weight loss.
